Jon’s different courses and coaching packages have earned him over ten million dollars in sales. He now wants to teach you how to do the same thing. But is it even possible? In one of Jon’s numerous YouTube videos, he states, “You can very easily develop a five, six, or even seven figure income by selling what’s already in your mind.” He then instructs you to follow the link, sign up for the free training, and get ready to make it rain. Jon follows the standard pitching procedure. He’ll tell you how amazing he is, how much money he’s earned, and how much money his students are earning, followed by an hour-long buildup for his newest and greatest course.
He adheres to the Guru Playbook to the letter. In the end, the fee will be a seven. A significant discount will be offered, but only if you beat the countdown timer. You’ll undoubtedly get some quick-action bonuses. “Right now, you have two choices: you can try it alone, spending valuable time and money on trial and error; or you can learn from someone who’s already done it, who can shortcut your success,” I’m sure he adds, pulling up the classic fork-in-the-road stock shot.
There will almost certainly be upsells if you purchase. If you don’t, you may be subjected to down-sells and cross-sells, as well as Jon’s attempt to sell you his unborn children. I’m simply getting on Jon’s nerves. He’s been hammering my email recently. Every day, they send me many emails with more frantic subject lines. It’s inconvenient. And although it obviously works for him, it’s not someone I’d ever purchase from, much less want to model my online company after.
Penberthy is the British equivalent of Peng Joon. I’m a complete opportunist. There is no such thing as shame. A professional pitchman who slaps together flavor-of-the-week courses, entices sheeple with dubious marketing, then spends the funds on a Tesla, shuts it down, finds the next hot trend, and repeats. He was the YouTube organic guy at first. Then there’s the Facebook ad specialist. Then there are Instagram advertising. Then there are the YouTube advertisements. Then there are auto webinars. Now, among other things, there’s a course on how to market a course.
In fact, he currently has a Tube Ads Academy, Ad Value Academy, The Legit Webinar Masterplan, Expert Accelerator, mentoring, done-for-you services, and, of course, a Platinum Group Coaching Program with a countdown timer at the top of the page and a headline that warns the price is about to double on his AdClients website. Is anybody still believing this nonsense? Because I don’t have any.
But, as they say, different strokes for different people. Some individuals have paid Jon tens of thousands of dollars to work with him and had nothing but praise for him. It doesn’t matter what I believe as long as he gives his clients outcomes. Do I think that everyone who understands anything can turn it into a course and make six or seven figures from it? I don’t think so. To even have a shot, I believe you must be a master at your art, have a talent for teaching, be technical and fantastic at copywriting, advertising, and sales, and have a lot of time and money. And most people aren’t like that.
