Matthew claims to have approximately 300,000 Instagram followers and is verified. He’s also been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur, CNN, and a number of other major magazines. Matthew went bankrupt five years ago. He was staying with his mother. He found out about Shopify dropshipping. He soon established a shop that was bringing in about $1000 per week. However, he became preoccupied. Other online enterprises were started. Consider a marketing firm that does everything for you. He experimented in the field of cryptography. It goes on and on. Then he watched a video in which Warren Buffett and Bill Gates both declared that focus was the key to their success. For Matthew, it was a lighting moment. He put everything else on hold and went all-in on ecommerce. Now he is a multi-millionaire who travels the globe.

Matthew’s greatest ambition in life is to assist as many individuals as possible in establishing a second source of income via ecommerce. To do so, he outlines a three-step recession-proof process: discover a product; create a website for the product and drive visitors using Facebook advertising; and automate your company by putting in place the necessary procedures and systems.

You may apply for Matthew’s mentorship program, Ecom Warrior Academy, if you’d want him to assist you with these three phases. There’s no mention of the price, but given that he wants you to qualify yourself by stating how much money you’ve put aside for this, I’m guessing it’s not cheap. Most likely $5,000 or more. If he’s the real deal, it could be worth it. But I’m not certain he is.

Matthew Lepre seemed to have materialized from nowhere. Despite this, he claims to be an eight-figure businessman who has been featured in major publications and on daytime television. When the publicity around a guru is almost too flawless, I always get wary. Did he pay for these advertisements? Is he making things up as he goes along? Do you think the majority of his success stems from the sale of Ecom Warrior Academy? I’m simply thinking aloud right now.

Matthew makes no attempt to assuage my suspicions. Is it just me, or does the man never mention particularly about ecommerce after viewing his pitch video, combing through his social media, and strolling through some of his YouTube videos? Where can I get some examples? What about case studies? What about war stories? At the very least, share some dropshipping best practices so we know you’re on the right track.

Posing in front of a G Wagen and captioning picture with a load of corporate jargon isn’t enough for me. Dropshipping is taught in a variety of courses and coaching programs. What I’m looking for is an explanation as to why Matthew Lepre is the best bet. What makes his method superior or unique to others? We’ll never know until we engage in his coaching, it seems. When it happens, it’s too late. Matthew’s marketing needs to be more transparent and less hyped. That’s my two cents on the subject.
