You must ensure that your product is selling, that you have adequate supply (returning to her previous point), and that you keep a close eye on your pay-per-click marketing campaigns. Tamara claims that the third factor that makes Amazon FBA virtually unprofitable is that it demands a high level of mental attention. It really is a case of mind over matter, something many people never achieve. You want money right now, but that isn’t possible. There are many steps to complete, and you must do each one correctly while being patient and playing the long game. Most would-be FBA sellers are unwilling to do so, and as a result, they either fail or take shortcuts that jeopardize their profitability.
The fourth and last thing she dislikes about Amazon FBA is when she receives letters from strangers all around the globe claiming to know everything. It’s inconvenient. Nobody knows everything. Especially some jerk in his mother’s basement sucking Dorito dust off his fingers before anonymously trashing Tamara on Instagram. Tamara also never pretended to know everything. She’s been doing it for the last four years. Yes, she’s earned a lot of money. But there are still certain things she doesn’t know. That is something she acknowledges.
Tamara deserves credit for presenting the other side of the issue, even if it means losing some course revenues. All of these arguments are valid. I’m astonished at how popular Amazon FBA has gotten since all of the aforementioned factors are deal breakers for me. And that’s not even taking into account the most important factor: the quantity of money you’ll need to start your FBA company. You’re looking at three to eight thousand dollars for a teaching program, at least another two thousand dollars for merchandise, and maybe another two thousand dollars for software and promotion. It’s a no.
