The five percent will go to the sponsor who assisted you in qualifying for the offer. That leaves you, the deal expert, with a 25% share.
“Now you get compensated three ways as a deal expert,” Tyler explains. “Your half of the monthly rent will be your cash flow.” On average, that’ll come to around $25,000 every month in total. So 25% of it, or $6,250 per month, or $75,000 per year, is your share. That will be the case every year until you sell.”
“You receive another decent amount when you sell,” Tyler explains. “And last, in an apartment sale like this, you are paid up front as the deal expert.” This payment is known as an acquisition fee. And it might be anything from 3% to 5% of the purchasing price.” When you add it all together, you can very nearly pay for an excellent retirement simply by participating in one good bargain. You’ve made two trades and are leaving a legacy.
