Employee’s Happiness Improve Their Productivity Rate

The success of most companies can be measured by its productivity. Generally, companies that have a higher productivity rate will also have more cash flow. Companies that have a low rate of productivity will have low profits.
Companies should be perpetually asking themselves how they can increase their productivity with little or no increase in cost. The best way to accomplish this goal is typically via internal processes and procedures and not just through academic diary. This will accomplish a large part of increasing productivity, but there may be other solutions as well including various issues with the workers.

Companies who enjoy a high rate of productivity also report that their employees are currently working extremely efficiently and no research or upgrades are necessary to increase productivity. “A happy worker is an efficient worker” is a saying that summarizes high productivity. Companies who have a high level of productivity also take care of their employees very well through various incentives. They ensure that each employee is treated well and feels valued.

Employees’ morale and happiness should be a primary concern for any company. An employee’s morale affects his outlook on himself, his job, and his employer. An employee with low morale is not generally happy and this attitude is reflected in his work output with incomplete and careless products. This could be especially dangerous for companies producing items that could be dangerous if not created diligently and precisely. Employees with high morale typically generate high quality work efficiently.

Increasing employee morale does not have to cost a lot of money, but is reinforced through small acts each day. Companies may be concerned that increasing employees’ morale will be costly and take a lot of time. This concern is unwarranted. Increasing morale can be as simple as showing the employees that the management cares about their concerns, welcomes feedback, and tries to provide a safe working environment. Additionally, employee morale could be given a boost by providing breakfast or lunch periodically for the employees, sending employees personalized notes from management thanking them for their loyalty and hard work, or having meetings in which stellar employees are recognized for their outstanding performance.

A company should make sure that each employee feels like they are a valued part of the company’s success. If an employee feels that the company truly needs their input and values their continued effort then they are more willing to put forth great effort and be more than willing to contribute to the success of the company. An employee who feels their contribution is recognized and concerns are addressed will have a great sense of importance and loyalty to the company. A loyal employee will typically dedicate their efforts to the company’s achievements, success and profits and will not only act in their own interests.

When employees have high morale and are producing high quality results, the productivity of a company will subsequently increase. Companies who try to increase productivity through equipment, consultants, or technology do not always see the same results as those rewarding their employees with simple gestures.
